So we're taking tomorrow off, because unlike Walmart, Kmart, Toys R Us, and Sears, we Respect the Holiday.  I mean seriously: only TV Celebrities, Broadway Dancers, High School Marching Bands, and Football Players are supposed to work on Thanksgiving :-)

Friday Follies-Ranting At An Empty Chair Edition

The Great RNC Chair Debacle of 2012.  Last night Romney gave a speech accepting his party's nomination to be the Republican standard-bearer for president in 2012.  And no one cared.  Because Clint Eastwood gave a speech, where he ranted at a chair (which was supposed to be stand-in for Obama).  It was...uncomfortable to watch.  See the speech, below:

Game of Thrones Political Ads

Someone at Mother Jones decided to have a bit of fun during election season, and re-imagined what modern-day attack ads would like like if they were applied to the HBO Game of  Thrones characters. Here they are, with mild spoilers:
